Welcome To Redeemer Presbyterian Church

A Christ-centered Approach to Ministry at Redeemer

We trust you will find various venues at Redeemer to serve Jesus Christ. What truths shape our understanding of ministry within his church?

We believe it is an enormous privilege to be faithful stewards of our time, talents and treasures, as a heart response to the grace and love we experience in the gospel of the Lord Jesus:

“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.” (2 Thessalonians 2:16)

We believe our ministry is grounded in the person of Jesus Christ, who revealed himself as the servant par excellance:

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)

We believe our ministry to others is shaped by the pattern of the Jesus Christ:

“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.” (Philippians 2:5-7)

We believe our service to Jesus is completely dependent upon the power of Christ’s Spirit enabling us to produce lasting fruit:

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

We believe in the promise of the risen Jesus that our labors for him are worthy of our best efforts:

“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
